How Our Service Works
Our platform removes watermarks from Sora videos through server-side API requests. You never upload a video file to us — you paste a public share link, and we return a clean download URL from the source platform. We do not store, view, or redistribute your video content.
1. What We Collect
1.1 Share Link Data
When you submit a link for processing, we temporarily store:
- The share link itself and an internal task ID
- Processing status, timestamps, and the resulting download URL
- URL expiry metadata so we can alert you before the link expires
1.2 Account Data
If you register for an account:
- Email address, display name (optional), and hashed password
- Subscription tier and credit balance
- Payment details handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number
1.3 Abuse-Prevention Logs
To enforce daily limits and protect the service:
- Your IP address paired with daily request counts
- Timestamps and short-lived cooldown markers when rate limits are triggered
1.4 Automatic Analytics
We collect anonymized, aggregated metrics:
- Navigation paths and feature-usage patterns
- Browser type, OS, and screen class
- Country-level geolocation (never street-level)
- Error and crash reports for reliability improvements
1.5 What We Never Collect
- The pixel content of any video — processing is link-based, not file-based
- Government-issued IDs, financial account numbers, or biometric data
- Cross-site browsing behavior or advertising profiles
- We never sell any data to third parties
2. Why We Use Your Information
- Deliver the service — resolve your share link, return the clean download URL, and display real-time progress
- Run your account — manage subscriptions, allocate credits, send receipts
- Improve the platform — identify UX bottlenecks, fix bugs, plan features
- Prevent abuse — enforce fair-use limits, block automated scraping, detect fraud
- Meet legal obligations — comply with tax, financial-reporting, and law-enforcement requirements
3. How We Protect Your Data
- Encryption in transit: Every request travels over HTTPS/TLS
- Server-to-server resolution: Share links are resolved directly with the source platform — no video file ever touches our disk
- Minimal access: Internal tools expose only the metadata needed for debugging and abuse prevention
- PCI-compliant payments: Stripe handles all card processing under its own PCI DSS certification
- No video sharing: We never forward, cache, or redistribute video content to any outside party
4. How Long We Keep Data

None of these providers receive your video content. Analytics providers only see anonymized metrics; Stripe only sees billing data.
6. When We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal data. We may disclose information only when:

- Protecting rights — enforcing our Terms, preventing fraud, or defending legal claims
- Business transfer — in the event of a merger or acquisition, subject to the same privacy commitments
7. Chrome Extension
Our Chrome extension follows every commitment above, plus:
- It acts only when you click the download button — it never scans other pages
- Auth tokens and daily-quota data are stored locally in
chrome.storage, never sent to third-party servers - It communicates with cleanwatermark.ai over HTTPS, sending only the share link and your auth token
- It does not collect browsing history, keystrokes, or any unrelated data
- You can clear all local extension data via browser settings or by uninstalling
8. Your Rights
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correction — fix inaccurate account details at any time
- Deletion — delete your account instantly from settings, or email us to request manual purging
- Export — receive a machine-readable export of your data
- Opt out of analytics — disable via your browser or contact us directly
- Use without an account — the free tier works without registration
EU/UK (GDPR): You may also restrict processing, object to processing, and request data portability. California (CCPA): You may request disclosure of categories collected and opt out of any sale (we don't sell data, but the right stands).
9. International Transfers
Data may be processed outside your country. We apply standard contractual clauses and equivalent safeguards to keep protections consistent regardless of location.
10. Children
Our service is not designed for anyone under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately. Parents or guardians should contact us right away if they suspect this has occurred.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be announced via email to account holders and a banner on the site. Continuing to use the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
